Clearing your cache & updating Google Chrome

After updates are released for Crelate, sometimes your browser cache may become out of date. In some scenarios, this requires you to clear your browser cache manually to get the latest updates. Below are links and step-by-step instructions showing how to clear your cache for several popular browsers that we support. Remember to refresh all open tabs of Crelate after clearing your cache!

If you encounter issues with pages not loading properly in Crelate, such as a blank Sales page or other workflows, it is important to verify user permissions before proceeding to clear your browser cache. This ensures that the issue is not related to insufficient access rights.

Step 1: Verify User Permissions

For specific pages like the Sales workflow or Opportunities page, ensure that the user has the necessary permissions:

  1. Navigate to the role configuration settings in Crelate.

  2. Check the permissions for the relevant page (e.g., Opportunities or Sales).

  3. Ensure the permissions are not set to "None." Adjust them to the appropriate level to grant access. This step is crucial for resolving blank pages caused by insufficient permissions.

  1. Click on the menu button in the upper right

  2. Select "More tools."

  3. Click on "Clear browsing data..."

  4. Make sure you have Cookies and Cached files selected

  5. Click on the "Clear data" button

  • Try accessing Crelate in a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues.

  1. Click on the menu button in the upper right

  2. Select "History"

  3. Select "Clear Recent History"

  4. Make sure "Cache" is selected

  5. Click on the "Clear Now" button

  6. Refresh all open tabs of Crelate

  3. Under "Clear browsing data", click on "choose what to clear."

  4. Make sure that "cached data and files" is selected

  5. Click on the "Clear" button

  2. Select "Safety"

  3. Click on "Delete browsing history..."

  4. Make sure that "Temporary Internet files and website files" is selected

  5. Click on the Delete button

  6. Refresh all open tabs of Crelate

Apple Safari

  1. Click on the Safari menu

  2. Select "Preferences..."

  3. Select the "Advanced" tab

  4. Check the "Show Develop menu in the menu bar."

  5. Close the Preferences dialog

  6. Click on the Develop menu

  7. Click on "Empty Caches"

  8. Refresh all open tabs of Crelate

Update Google Chrome:

  1. Go to settings

  2. About

  3. Chrome should automatically update

  4. Relaunch Chrome
