Whitelisting an email address

Written by Crelate Support
Updated over a week ago

Whitelisting an email address means to add it to a safe list. Email addresses in this list are email addresses that Crelate trusts. Emails and resumes sent from these addresses will be allowed to enter Crelate and be recorded. This is particularly important for ensuring that resumes sent via email are successfully processed and associated with the correct contacts in your database.

To Whitelist an Email:

  1. Navigate to Settings | Email

  2. Add entries to the "Trusted Email Domains" input like you would a tag (pressing tab or enter when you are finished typing the email)

You can add any email, or to add any email in a domain, add an entry like "@crelate.com" without the quotes. For example, if you frequently receive resumes from Indeed.com, you can whitelist "@indeed.com" to ensure these emails are processed without issues.

Once completed and saved, you can begin to send emails from the whitelisted email addresses to Crelate, and these emails will be processed to create new contacts from resumes and also log email communication to existing contacts with the emails you forward into your database. Forwarded emails will be logged as activities if a matching contact exists, or ignored if no match is found.

What's Next?

Now that your address is whitelisted, it's time to begin emailing resumes directly into the database!
