Crelate + Microsoft Teams Integration

Create and send Microsoft Teams meeting invitations directly from your Crelate activities.

Overview

The Microsoft Teams integration allows users to generate Teams meeting links directly from Crelate when creating calendar-invite activity types. This gives you a seamless way to schedule Teams meetings with candidates, clients, and teammates, all from within your existing Crelate workflow.

Getting Access to the Integration

To request access:

Email support@crelate.com and ask to have the Microsoft Teams Integration enabled for your organization.

Once enabled, your users with supported Microsoft 365 accounts will be able to begin using Teams meeting invitations within activities.

Requirements

To successfully use the Teams integration, you must have an email connection with an active Microsoft 365 account with teams access linked to your default account.

Using the Teams Integration

You can use Teams meeting functionality within the existing Custom Activities experience in Crelate.

Any custom activity type that is set as a “Calendar Invite” can be upgraded to a Teams meeting at the time of creation.

This is ideal for:

  • Candidate interviews

  • Client calls

  • Internal meetings

  • Intake calls

  • Anything else you schedule via calendar activities

Creating a Teams Meeting Invite

  1. Navigate to any record (candidate, contact, job, etc.).

  2. Create a new activity that is configured as a Calendar Invite activity type.

  3. In the activity creation window, you will see a checkbox labeled:
    “Make this a Teams meeting.”

  4. Check this box.

  5. Send the invite and a Microsoft Teams meeting link will be automatically generated and included.

This replaces the normal calendar invite with a Teams-enabled meeting invitation using your Microsoft 365 connection.

What Happens When You Send the Invite

When you check “Make this a Teams meeting”:

  • Crelate uses your connected Microsoft 365 account to generate a Teams meeting link.

  • The resulting calendar event sent to attendees will include the standard Join Teams Meeting link and Teams call-in information (based on your Microsoft licensing).

  • The event is added to your connected Outlook / Microsoft 365 calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all users need Microsoft 365 to join these meetings?

No. Only the meeting creator needs a Microsoft 365 account with Teams access. Attendees can join via the public Teams meeting link.

Why don’t I see the “Make this a Teams meeting” option?

Possible reasons:

  • Your organization has not had the feature enabled (reach out to support@crelate.com).

  • Your default email connection is not a Microsoft 365 account.

  • Your Microsoft account does not include Teams licensing.

Can I retroactively convert an existing activity into a Teams meeting?

Not currently. You must choose the Teams option when creating the activity.

Can I use this on mobile Crelate app?

No, Teams-enabled activities can be created from our web app only at this time.
