Welcome to the Crelate Hire setup guide! We created this guide with the intent that customers could come to one single place to get all the basics, best practices & more regarding Crelate Hire. Even if you don't have a real job or candidate yet to place, using mock data (such as fake candidates and jobs) can be immensely helpful to visualize what you will learn.

I know what you might be thinking, 6 steps!?! This is going to take a while. Luckily for you, we have created very targeted guides to get you up to speed as fast as possible. The majority of the links below provide quick video content of roughly 3 minutes or less. You'll consider yourself an onboarding expert in no time by following the below steps in the recommended order.

  1. First things, first. Now is always a good time to confirm your onboarding process internally up prior to executing in Crelate. With that said, this doesn’t need to be perfect as revisions are a really quick and easy process if you want to make small or broad changes in the future. You can always start in iterations as you get going.

  2. Documents/Artifacts

    1. Consider deleting or reassigning documents types that aren’t used. Document Types cannot be deleted while they exist but you may easily search and find those documents to clean them up and free up space for more document types.

    2. Document Categories – Segment your documents to make picklist sorting and assigning easy

    3. Create new artifacts and promote existing – Add new types where they don’t exist and promote more sensitive types (direct deposit, voided check, etc)

      1. Pro tip – Consider limiting the permissions of more sensitive document types only to specific user roles

    1. With your documents created, consider building out form requests. You may have a variety of different requests (combination of documents & questions). Just make sure your documents are created first to make things easy.

    1. Upload your documents requiring eSig to Crelate and add in your fillables and signables.

  3. With some of the housekeeping under way, it’s now time to build your Onboarding Templates. Integrate the above (eSig & form requests) along with other activity, tasks, etc functionality directly in. These templates can always later be updated so it’s OK if everything isn’t perfect the first go-round.

  4. Then it’s time to review and take action. Getting started here should be pretty quick.
