The Crelate MCP Server gives compatible AI tools read-only access by default to supported Crelate data.

Read-Only by Default
Connections to the Crelate MCP Server are read-only by default. Compatible AI tools can access and retrieve supported information from Crelate without being able to change your data.
If a connection needs to take action, such as creating a note, you can opt in to the tools that write data when you approve the connection. Most Crelate MCP tools only read data, and no tool sends email for you or changes your Crelate settings.
A connected assistant acts on your behalf and can only access what your Crelate user account is already authorized to access. This creates a foundation for future MCP capabilities while keeping the focus on securely connecting AI assistants with your Crelate data.

Clearer answers. Unsupported requests are flagged instead of quietly returning unfiltered results.
More control for Admins. Admins can grant MCP access separately from API access, and actions an assistant performs show its name in the audit log.
