Crelate's AI-powered features use a shared pool of AI Credits. Rather than managing separate usage limits for each AI feature, your organization uses credits from one central balance whenever someone performs an AI-powered action.

This article explains what AI Credits are, how they work, how they are used, and the current credit cost of each AI-powered feature.

AI Credits are a shared, organization-wide resource used to access certain AI-powered features in Crelate.

Here are a few important things to know:

You can monitor your organization's AI Credit usage at any time from the Manage Licenses / Subscription page. The Your Credit Usage meter shows how many credits you have used, your total available credits, and your next reset date.

The following table outlines the current credit cost for each AI-powered action.

Note: AI Credit costs are determined by Crelate and may change over time. The cost displayed within Crelate when you perform an action is always the most current and authoritative amount.

Crelate displays the credit cost for most AI-powered actions directly where you perform them, helping you understand how credits will be used before completing an action.

Each Discovery search session uses 0.5 AI Credits.

This allows you to search, explore, and refine results without using a large number of credits. The credit charge applies to the search session itself and is separate from the cost of importing results into Crelate.

Once a Discovery session has started, asking the Discovery agent to refine or adjust your search does not create additional search charges for that session.

Credits are used when you import Discovery results into Crelate for the first time.

Importing a person can cost between 5 and 25 credits:

Importing a company costs 10 credits. Company imports do not include the same live enrichment process, so the cost remains consistent.

Contact Data Enrichment uses 20 credits per contact.

Enrichment helps fill in and update contact information using Crelate's available data sources.

Premium Resume Parsing uses 5 credits per resume.

Premium parsing uses AI to extract and structure candidate information from resumes automatically.

Standard Resume Parsing does not use AI Credits.

The Crelate AI Talent Assistant allows you to import information directly into Crelate while working online.

The following actions use AI Credits:

When you enrich a contact using the Crelate AI Talent Assistant, the enrichment process uses the same AI-powered data enrichment capabilities available within Crelate.

Contact enrichment is charged per contact enriched.

AI Co-Pilot credit usage is based on the amount of AI processing required to complete your request.

Simple requests may use only a fraction of a credit, while longer or more complex requests that require additional processing or actions may use more.

As with other AI-powered features, AI Co-Pilot draws from your organization's shared AI Credit balance.

While interacting with the AI agent, you can see a running total of the credits used during your current session.

When you add a LinkedIn URL to a contact record, Crelate can attempt to link that contact to Crelate's database of nearly one billion people.

If a match is found, the contact can be connected to Contact Insights, providing additional information such as the Living Resume.

A successful Contact Insights link uses 5 AI Credits per contact.

When you add a company domain to a company record, Crelate can attempt to link the company to its database of company information.

If a match is found, Company Insights can provide additional information, including:

A successful Company Insights link uses 5 AI Credits per company.

When importing records from Discovery, credits are charged only the first time a person or company is imported into Crelate.

If the record already exists in your database, adding it again does not use additional credits.

When importing a contact or company from Discovery, the imported record may include information such as a LinkedIn URL or company domain that allows Insights information to be available.

You are not charged separately for both the Discovery import and Insights linking. The applicable credit cost is included with the Discovery import process.

Crelate provides warnings as your organization approaches its available AI Credit limit.

If your organization runs out of AI Credits, AI-powered actions that require credits will be temporarily unavailable until one of the following occurs:

A: No. Your monthly AI Credit allotment does not roll over.

Your available monthly credits reset to the full allotment on your designated reset date.

Everyone on your team draws from the same available credit balance.

A: No. Discovery imports are charged only when a record is imported for the first time.

If the person or company already exists in Crelate, adding the existing record again does not use additional credits.

The Your Credit Usage meter displays:

AI-powered actions may also display your available credit balance and the cost of the action before you complete it.

A: Crelate may occasionally provide additional bonus AI Credits in special circumstances, such as during the rollout of new features.

When bonus credits are available, the Your Credit Usage meter reflects the total number of credits currently available, including both your regular monthly allotment and any bonus credits.

Your normal monthly credits are used first. Bonus credits are only used after your regular monthly allotment has been exhausted.

The usage meter will also indicate your standard monthly credit allotment.

A: Some subscription tiers may include a smaller number of introductory credits designed to allow organizations to explore AI-powered features.

Usage-based pricing makes it possible for customers across different subscription levels to try features that may previously have only been available with higher-tier subscriptions.

A: No. Crelate does not plan to charge AI Credits for core platform functionality.

Core Crelate features will continue to be included as part of your subscription. AI Credits apply specifically to resource-intensive capabilities, such as AI-powered Discovery, Insights, and other advanced AI features.
