By default, when you parse a resume in Crelate, the current job title and company are parsed, and the company can be created as a new company profile. You can turn this off in Settings > Advanced > Resume Parser, but the setting applies only to the Standard Parser. The Premium AI Parser continues to parse all Current Position details.
What happens when a resume is parsed?
When you parse a resume, Crelate reads the candidate’s current job title and current company. The parsed company can be created as a new company profile in your database.
How to disable company and job title parsing
Go to Settings > Advanced > Resume Parser.
Under Resume Parsing, set Parse Current Employer to Disabled, Parse Current Job Title to Disabled, or both.
Save your changes.
Each setting works independently, so you can disable one and keep the other enabled. After you disable a setting, the Standard Parser no longer parses that detail from resumes, starting with resumes parsed from that point forward.
Does this setting apply to the Premium AI Parser?
No. Disabling these settings affects only the Standard Parser. The Premium AI Parser continues to parse all Current Position details, including the current job title and company, regardless of how these settings are configured.
Parser | Affected by these settings? | Current Position details |
Standard Parser | Yes | Not parsed when the settings are disabled |
Premium AI Parser | No | Always parsed |
If your team uses the Premium AI Parser, these settings will not stop current job titles and companies from being parsed.
Key takeaway
You can disable current job title and company parsing in Settings > Advanced > Resume Parser, and the change applies only to the Standard Parser. The Premium AI Parser always parses Current Position details.
