How to tell which Crelate Chrome extension you have
There are two Crelate Chrome extensions: the classic Crelate Chrome extension and the Crelate Chrome AI Talent Assistant.
You can open chrome://extensions in Chrome and look at the names. The new one is called Crelate AI Talent Assistant; the classic one is called Crelate Talent Chrome Extension.
New Crelate AI Talent Assistant:
Classic Crelate Talent Chrome Extension:
What is different in the AI Talent Assistant
The Crelate Chrome AI Talent Assistant is a rebuilt extension, and new features are going into it. Compared with the classic extension:
It stays open in Chrome's side panel while you browse, so your page isn't pushed aside.
It works with Contacts, Companies and Opportunities, and adds Company Insights, resume parsing and attaching, Activities, and email Templates. See New Crelate Chrome AI Talent Assistant.
It works in Gmail. The Gmail integration requires a Business Plus license.
Creating a Contact, Company or Opportunity can use Crelate AI Credits. See Understanding AI Credits.
Move from the classic extension to the AI Talent Assistant
To move to the AI Talent Assistant, install it, sign in, then remove the classic extension. Your records in Crelate aren't affected.
Install the AI Talent Assistant and pin it. Follow Installing the Crelate Chrome AI Talent Assistant.
Open it and sign in with your Crelate email and password.
If your administrator requires two-factor authentication, choose how to get your code (text message, authenticator app or email) and enter it. If you see "Your administrator requires two-factor authentication. Complete setup in the Crelate web app, then try again," set up two-factor authentication in Crelate first.
Open Settings from the menu and set your options.
Remove the classic extension: right-click its icon and select Remove from Chrome.
You can keep both installed for a while, but you'll see two different panels. Removing the classic extension avoids the confusion.
