**Please Note** The best and preferred way to prevent emails from being journaled in Crelate is to configure your email server to never send them to our servers for processing. This can be done via rules in Exchange, Office 365 or Gmail. If that option is not available, for convenience, we’ve added the ability to filter them on the Crelate Servers.

A new setting has been added to Email Journaling called Email Exclusion List. This gives Crelate Administrators the ability to exclude all emails associated with a specific email address, blocking them from getting journaled. It is important to note that Crelate will still receive the message, so as a best practice, we recommend you configure the rules directly from your email server so that the email is filtered out and never passed over to Crelate. You can add/delete email addresses by using the “+” and “-“ buttons on the top corner. Once you are done, be sure to click “Save” on the top.

We heard feedback from our customers that they want emails sent through Automated Workflows to be journaled, too! That way, you get a full picture of all the communication that went out to a Contact. When setting up your Workflows (or updating existing ones), you will see a new option to “Journal this email” if you have automatic email messaging set up. Go to Settings > Basic Setup – Workflows… By checking this box, this email will be journaled.

Previously, our Crelate Administrators had the ability to utilize only email and/or phone for two factor authentication as an extra layer of security for logging in to Crelate. We have added the ability to use Authenticator apps (I.e., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and others) for two factor authentication.

After our July release, all users will now see a 3rd option to activate via an Authenticator app. We encourage all Crelate customers to enable and require 2FA authentication in their organizations as a best practice.
