New Contacts
The Chrome Extension makes it easy to discover and add new Contacts to your Crelate database in just a few clicks.
As you browse supported websites and social media platforms, opening the extension will automatically detect available information from the profile you are viewing.
When you navigate to a new profile, select the Discover icon at the top of the extension to retrieve the Contact's available details.
Before saving the Contact, you can review and edit any of the discovered fields directly within the extension. When you are ready, select Add to Crelate to create the new Contact Record with your updates.
Resume
You can upload a resume directly into the Chrome Extension to automatically extract information from the resume and populate the corresponding Contact fields before creating a new Contact in Crelate.
To upload a resume, select the Resume tab, then drag and drop the file into the upload area or browse your files to select a resume from your device.
Once the upload is complete, select Parse Fields to extract the information from the resume and populate the fields within the extension.
After reviewing and making any necessary edits to the parsed information, select Add to Crelate to create the new Contact record. The resume will automatically be attached to the Contact's record when it is saved.
Auto Generate PDF Resume
The Chrome Extension also allows you to automatically generate and attach a PDF resume when creating a new Contact in Crelate.
To enable this feature, select the three-line menu in the upper-left corner of the extension, then choose Settings.
From the Settings menu, enable the Auto Generate PDF option.
Once this setting is enabled, selecting Add to Crelate will create the new Contact Record and automatically generate and attach a PDF resume to the Contact's record in Crelate.
Note: Enriching a Contact in the extension before adding them to Crelate with the auto generated PDF resume will produce more quality results of the details included in the PDF resume
Find on Page
When adding new Contacts through the Chrome Extension, you will also have the option to use Find on Page. This feature allows you to capture supported information available on the Contact's profile page and use it to populate fields in Crelate.
While Find on Page is available, we recommend using the Discover option whenever possible. Discover uses our curated dataset of over 1 billion profiles with refreshed and updated information to provide more accurate and reliable Contact data.
Existing Contacts
The Chrome Extension makes it easy to view, update, and manage existing Contacts without leaving the page you are working on or interrupting your workflow.
As you browse supported websites and social media platforms, the extension will automatically identify matching Contacts in your Crelate database. From there, you can update Contact information, attach resumes, create Activities, and perform other actions directly within the extension.
Edit a Contact
To update an existing Contact, select Edit and make any necessary changes.
When editing the Contact, you can manually update any fields in the extension. You can also select the option at the bottom of the displayed fields to Show all fields so you can modify additional Contact data fields directly in the extension.
When you are finished, select Update to save your changes to the Contact Record in Crelate.
Add To
The Add To option allows you to quickly associate a Contact with an Opportunity, List, or Sequence without leaving the extension.
Within the Add To menu, you can choose from the following options:
Opportunity – Opens a selection window where you can choose the Opportunity to associate with the Contact.
Lists – Allows you to select a List from the available options or quickly add the Contact to one of your recently used Lists.
Sequences – Allows you to select a Sequence from the available options or quickly add the Contact to one of your personal Sequences.
Activities
You can create and log Activities for existing Contacts directly from the Chrome Extension, allowing you to update Contact Records without leaving your current workflow.
To create an Activity, first select the Activity tab at the bottom of the extension. From there, you will have access to all Activity Types for your Contacts available to you in Crelate, making it easy to quickly create a new Activity for the Contact.
After selecting an Activity Type, the Activity form will open using the same configurations defined in your Crelate setup.
Enter the Activity details as needed, then select Save to log the Activity to the Contact's Activity Stream in Crelate.
Resume
You can upload a resume directly into the Chrome Extension to attach the resume file directly onto the existing Contact Record in Crelate.
To upload a resume, select the Resume tab, then drag and drop the file into the upload area or browse your files to select a resume from your device.
Once the upload is complete, select Attach Resume to automatically add the resume to the Contact's record in Crelate from the extension.
Other Documents
In addition to resumes, you can upload other document types directly from the Chrome Extension, making it easy to attach supporting documents to a Contact Record in Crelate.
To upload a document, select the Other Documents tab, then drag and drop the file into the upload area or browse your files to select a document from your device.
Once the upload is complete, select the appropriate Document Type from the available options configured for Contacts in your Crelate environment.
Then, select Attach Document to add the document to the Contact's record in Crelate.
Note: If you do not select a Document Type before attaching the document, or if no additional Document Types (other than Resume) are configured in your Crelate environment, the document will be assigned a Document Type of None by default. After the document has been added to the Contact record in Crelate, you can edit the document at any time to assign the appropriate Document Type.
Templates
The Chrome Extension gives you quick access to both your personal Email Templates and any Shared Email Templates available in Crelate. Templates can be copied directly from the extension and used throughout your recruiting workflow, including messaging platforms, social media sites, email inboxes, and other communication tools.
To access your templates, select the Templates tab at the bottom of the extension.
From there, select any available template to automatically copy its contents to your clipboard.
When pasted into a supported communication tool, such as email or InMail, the template will retain its configured formatting and automatically populate any Contact information configured within the template from the Contact Record.
For example, you can open a new message in Gmail and paste the copied template directly into the email editor.
You can also select the Contact's email address within the extension to open your default email application and quickly begin composing a message using the copied template, allowing you to continue your workflow without leaving the extension.
Enrich a Contact
The Chrome Extension allows you to enrich both new and existing Contacts with newly available information, helping you maintain accurate and up-to-date Contact Records with the latest details, such as phone numbers and email addresses.
The extension will display indicators on new Contacts when additional information is available, making it easy to identify which records can be enriched.
To enrich a new Contact, select Enrich within the extension. Any available updated Contact information will populate directly in the extension, allowing you to review the changes before selecting Add to Crelate to create the new Contact Record with the enriched information.
To enrich an existing Contact, first select Edit within the extension, then select Enrich to retrieve any available updated Contact information. The enriched information will populate directly in the extension, allowing you to review the changes before selecting Update to save the information to the Contact's existing record in Crelate.
The Chrome Extension can also be used directly within your Gmail inbox to access Contact information and manage existing Contacts in your Crelate database. When an email sender's address matches an email address associated with a Contact Record in Crelate, the extension will automatically identify the Contact and display their available details.
From the extension, you can easily manage the Contact by accessing email templates, logging Activities, and completing other actions that sync directly back to the Contact Record in Crelate.
If the extension does not automatically find a matching Contact through the email lookup, you can manually search for the Contact by entering the sender's email address in the extension and selecting Check.
If the sender does not already exist as a Contact in your Crelate database, you will have the option to enter their first and last name and add them directly to Crelate by selecting Add to Crelate.
